1 bedroom furnished apartment
The “Grenier” attic apartment is a 1 ½ story conversion of the attic of a 1900 classic Belgian townhouse.
In the apartment, downstairs, are:
- small entrance hall with coat cupboard,
- leading to modern bathroom,
- kitchen-diner,
- and living room,
- with open fire.
Upstairs is the bedroom with double bed.
The overall layout is open plan, arranged to give a feeling of space.
There is also an attractive, paved roof terrace, looking roughly south, high above peaceful back gardens.
Style inside the apartment (except bathroom) is Alpine.
Roof beams are displayed. There is much other exposed wood.
Décor painted on the wood includes roses and other Mittel-Europa themes.
Views include rooftops in terra-cotta tiles, chimneys, trees, and the local corner-shops. The apartment is very quiet, except when the wind blows across the rooftops.
The apartment is self-contained, with its own central heating unit, and its own meters for utilities.
Currently it is equipped with:
- television (cable),
- telephone,
- dishwasher,
- cooker,
- microwave,
- clothes washer,
- clothes dryer,
- furniture and so on.
It would suit a single person, or a couple expecting to stay in Brussels for a year or two.
